Responsibilities

• Facilitate and support diverse volunteer teams delivering volunteer-led disaster cycle services programming in a rapid, accessible, equitable, culturally appropriate, and linguistically appropriate manner, with a focus on frontline communities.
• Support successful implementation of specific disaster cycle services program activities or functions within an assigned geographic area.
• Engage disaster volunteers who are representative of the communities they serve, culturally and linguistically.
• Support local efforts to prepare and mobilize communities and engage partners to prepare for, respond to, and recover from disasters and emergencies.
• Implement plans to meet assigned volunteer engagement targets and support volunteer-led Disaster Action Team responses to local home fires or assigned function tasks.
• Serve as the local point of contact for partners and communities, and partner with local organizations and leaders supporting frontline communities and community resiliency before, during, and after disasters.
• Participate in regional disaster response operations after completing training requirements.
• Deploy to disaster relief operations outside the region at least once a year.
