About The Position

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• Must be registered or exempt from Selective Service.
• Possess and maintain a current, unrestricted, independent, advanced-practice clinical social work license, such as LCSW, LICSW, or equivalent.
• Meet the positive education requirement through a degree in behavioral or social science or a related discipline; an equivalent combination of education and experience; or four years of appropriate experience demonstrating equivalent knowledge.
• Have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level in federal service, including relevant EAP assessment, counseling, referrals, training, crisis response, leadership advising, or coordination experience.
• Submit required transcripts by the announcement closing date if qualifying based on education or required coursework.
• Successfully pass a background investigation; the position requires Public Trust clearance.
• Complete any required USA Hire assessments within the stated deadline.
• Federal employees must receive salary payments by direct deposit.

Responsibilities

• Provide Employee Assistance Program assessments, brief counseling, referrals, and follow-up services.
• Develop and deliver wellness, resilience, and prevention training.
• Provide crisis intervention and coordinate critical incident response.
• Advise leadership on employee well-being and workplace concerns.
• Coordinate suicide and violence prevention efforts, operational stress control, and peer support.
• Collaborate with providers and community resources to support employees and families.
