About The Position

Montgomery County is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented professional to carry out assignments in the operational programs of its Fiscal Team unit. This role plays a key part in ensuring that DHHS fiscal operations run smoothly, accurately, and in compliance with County requirements. By supporting day-to-day workflow activities and maintaining reliable program information, the position helps the department deliver essential services efficiently and responsibly. The anticipated hiring range for this position is $62,328 to $87,111, based on the candidate’s qualifications and experience. The Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) is responsible for delivering public health and human services to meet the needs of the community’s most vulnerable children, adults, and seniors, operating through more than 120 programs at over 20 locations with more than 2,000 employees. Requirements

  • One (1) year of professional experience supporting fiscal or administrative operational workflows.
  • Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's Degree.
  • Completion of a pre-employment Medical History Form to assess your ability to safely perform the essential duties of the role.

  • Experience supporting fiscal or administrative operational workflows, including tracking tasks and maintaining accurate records
  • Experience applying standard operating procedures (SOPs), guidelines, or program requirements to ensure compliance
  • Experience using Excel, SharePoint, Teams, and workflow or database systems for tracking and reporting
  • Experience reviewing information, records, or transactions for accuracy and completeness and resolving discrepancies

Responsibilities

  • Carry out assignments in the operational programs of the DHHS Fiscal Team unit to support effective and compliant program operations.
  • Utilize knowledge of program management support principles, techniques, and functions to complete a variety of standard assignments.
  • Apply subject-matter understanding of regulations, procedures, and program requirements within defined areas of one or more DHHS Fiscal Team programs.
  • Support program operations by reviewing information, monitoring activities, and ensuring tasks align with established fiscal and program guidelines.
  • Contribute to the unit’s efficiency and mission by performing routine program support tasks that help maintain accurate, timely, and compliant fiscal processes.
