About The Position

Requirements

• High School Diploma / GED
• Basic Life Support (BLS)

Nice To Haves

• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)
• Two years' experience as a Medical Assistant in a clinic or physician's office beyond internship preferred.
• Two years' pediatric care experience
• American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA)

Responsibilities

• Assists in rooming patients, taking vital signs, measurements, preparation of exam rooms, assisting the physician, interacting with other departments.
• Works with and under the direction of the Physician and RN.
• Assists providers, nursing and other health care professionals with procedures and the intake and depart processes.
• Accurately documents information in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
• Responsible for prepping clinic to include ordering and monitoring supply levels and equipment.
• Utilizes good clinical judgement to identify problems and interventions with patients and families and referral to RN as needed.
