About The Position

Requirements

• 1–2 years of medical office experience.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.

• Comfort working with computers, EMRs, and Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines.

• Knowledge of insurance processes and coverage verification.
• Familiarity with healthcare regulations and compliance standards.
• Understanding of chemotherapy drugs and related supplies.
• Bilingual communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a primary contact for incoming patient and referral calls.
• Schedule new patient appointments accurately and efficiently.
• Collect and verify demographic and insurance information.
• Request, track, and follow up on medical records before appointments.
• Monitor fax servers, voicemails, and patient callback queues.
• Send new patient paperwork promptly by mail or email.
• Maintain and update patient data using Excel logs and internal systems.
• Coordinate pre-appointment preparation with clinical teams.
• Communicate daily with physicians regarding scheduling needs.
• Support overall office operations with additional administrative duties.
• Assist in monitoring the efficiency of the office support team, coordinate office team activities, and provide coverage as needed.
