About The Position
Bison Transport is seeking an experienced Owner-Operator for a LCV Qualified Cross-Border Long-Haul position. This role involves running LCV open board and Canada/US long-haul, with southbound freight potentially departing into any of the lower 48 states. The position requires 24 days on the road per month, with resets taken on the road as needed. Candidates may be asked to cover scheduled runs for up to 4 weeks as operationally required, and regional freight will also be a part of the role. The schedule is flexible and includes working Saturdays and Sundays, with a turnpike pay-package applying. A $3000 sign-on bonus is offered, with guaranteed on-time payment.
Requirements
- Experienced Owner-Operator with 24 months tractor trailer experience
- Valid Class 1/AZ license
- Bunk Truck will be required
- Eligible to drive in the U.S.
- Minimum of 6-months verifiable LCV experience including operating during winter conditions
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs. or more
- Registered with the Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse
Nice To Haves
- BC Mountain experience is preferred
Responsibilities
- Run LCV open board and Canada/US long-haul
- Operate southbound freight into any of the lower 48 states
- Take resets on the road as required
- Be on the road for 24 days per month
- Cover scheduled runs as operationally needed for up to 4 weeks
- Handle regional freight
- Haul all commodities including meat and alcohol
- Drive on Highway 17 in Ontario 12 months a year
- Drive U.S. Mountains 12 months a year
