About The Position

VICTORIA LOGISTICS CARRIER is seeking Sprinter and Cargo Van owner-operators to move freight nationwide under a written independent contractor agreement. The company does not hire company drivers. Owner-operators can discuss rates with dispatchers and receive personalized load offers based on their preferences. The posting describes a large number of available loads and dispatchers with more than four years of experience and broker contacts. Advertised rates for Sprinters are $0.85–$1.35 per mile for long miles in good areas and $0.85–$1.10 per mile for long miles in bad areas. Canada rates are $1.25–$1.55 per mile. Payment is made within 3–5 business days, with a 3% quick-pay option. The stated operating days are Monday through Friday. The posting gives a minimum average monthly earning figure of $8,000 or more, dependent on the vehicle, willingness to work, payload, and Hazmat certificate or TSA/TWIC credentials.

Requirements

Own a Sprinter or Cargo Van.
Be a US citizen, resident, green card holder, or holder of work authorization.
Owner-operator and drivers must be at least 21 years old.
Owner-operator and drivers must be able to speak, understand, and read basic English.
Have at least 6 months of driving experience.
Sprinters must be no older than 2016.
Vehicles must have at least four straps and PPE.
Remove all decals from the vehicle.
Submit vehicle registration and insurance.
All drivers must be approved, accepted, and registered with VICTORIA LOGISTICS CARRIER before accepting a load.
Execute a written independent contractor agreement as an owner-operator.

Nice To Haves

Russian language skills; the company also hires Russian speakers.

Responsibilities
