About The Position

VICTORIA LOGISTICS CARRIER is hiring Sprinter and Cargo Van owner-operators to haul nationwide freight under a written independent contractor agreement. The company offers a large number of loads, personalized load selections based on driver preferences, and rates that can be negotiated with dispatchers. Dispatchers have more than four years of experience. Listed rates are $0.85–$1.35 per mile for Sprinters on long miles in good areas, $0.85–$1.10 per mile on long miles in bad areas, and $1.25–$1.55 per mile in Canada. Payment is made within 3–5 business days, with a 3% quick-pay option. The stated work days are Monday through Friday. The company does not hire company drivers; applicants apply as owner-operators.

Requirements

• Own a Sprinter or Cargo Van.
• Be a U.S. citizen, resident, green card holder, or work authorization holder.
• The owner-operator and drivers must be at least 21 years old.
• The owner-operator and drivers must speak, understand, and read basic English.
• Have at least 6 months of driving experience.
• Sprinters must be no older than model year 2016.
• Vehicles must have at least 4 straps and PPE.
• Remove all decals from the vehicle.
• Submit vehicle registration and insurance.
• Drivers must be approved, accepted, and registered with VICTORIA LOGISTICS CARRIER before accepting a company load.
• Apply as an owner-operator and execute a written independent contractor agreement; the company does not hire company drivers.

Nice To Haves

• Russian language ability; the company also hires Russian speakers.
• A Hazmat certificate or TSA/TWIC credentials may affect potential monthly earnings.

Responsibilities

• Operate an eligible Sprinter or Cargo Van as an owner-operator under an independent contractor agreement.
• Accept loads from VICTORIA LOGISTICS CARRIER after the driver has been approved, accepted, and registered with the company.
• Provide registration and insurance documentation for the vehicle.
• Inform the company before putting the vehicle on the road if making changes to it.
