About The Position

VICTORIA LOGISTICS CARRIER is hiring Sprinter and Cargo Van owner-operators under a written independent contractor agreement. The company does not hire company drivers. Owner-operators can negotiate rates with dispatchers and access a large number of loads. Dispatchers have at least four years of experience and broker contacts. Loads are personalized according to drivers’ preferences. Rates listed for Sprinters are $0.85–$1.35 per mile for long miles in good areas and $0.85–$1.10 per mile for long miles in bad areas. Canada Sprinter rates are $1.25–$1.55 per mile. Payment is made within 3–5 business days, with a 3% quick-pay option. The stated operating days are Monday through Friday. The posting states a minimum average monthly salary of $8,000 or more, depending on the vehicle, willingness to work, payload, Hazmat certificate, and TSA/TWIC.

Requirements

Own a Sprinter or Cargo Van.
Be a U.S. citizen, resident, green card holder, or holder of work authorization.
The owner-operator and any drivers must be at least 21 years old.
The owner-operator and any drivers must speak, understand, and read basic English.
Have at least 6 months of driving experience.
Sprinters must be no older than 2016.
Vehicles must have at least four straps and PPE.
Remove all decals from the vehicle.
Provide vehicle registration and insurance.
All drivers must be approved, accepted, and registered with VICTORIA LOGISTICS CARRIER before accepting a load.

Nice To Haves

Russian language ability; Russian speakers are also hired.
Hazmat certificate or TSA/TWIC credentials are cited as factors that may affect earnings.

Responsibilities
