About The Position

VICTORIA LOGISTICS CARRIER is hiring Sprinter and Cargo Van owner-operators to transport freight nationwide under a written independent contractor agreement. The company offers numerous loads, personalized load options based on operator preferences, and dispatchers with at least four years of experience and broker contacts. Rates may be negotiated with dispatchers. Listed Sprinter rates are $0.85–$1.35 per mile for long miles in good areas, $0.85–$1.10 per mile for long miles in bad areas, and $1.25–$1.55 per mile in Canada. Payment is made within 3–5 business days; quick pay is available for a 3% fee. The stated workday range is Monday–Friday.

Requirements

• Own a Sprinter or Cargo Van.
• Be a US citizen, resident, green card holder, or holder of work authorization.
• The owner-operator and any drivers must be at least 21 years old.
• The owner-operator and any drivers must be able to speak, understand, and read basic English.
• Have at least 6 months of driving experience.
• Sprinter vehicles must be no older than 2016.
• Vehicles must have at least 4 straps and PPE, and all decals must be removed.
• Provide vehicle registration and insurance.
• All drivers must be approved, accepted, and registered with VICTORIA LOGISTICS CARRIER before accepting a company load.
• Enter into a written independent contractor agreement as an owner-operator.

• Russian language ability; Russian speakers are also hired.

Responsibilities

• Operate a personally owned Sprinter or Cargo Van to transport freight and accept loads through VICTORIA LOGISTICS CARRIER.
• Coordinate with dispatchers regarding preferred load types and negotiate rates as needed.
• Provide vehicle registration and insurance, and notify the company before putting the vehicle on the road after making changes.
• Ensure the vehicle meets the stated equipment and decal requirements.
