About The Position

VICTORIA LOGISTICS CARRIER is hiring Sprinter and cargo van owner-operators under a written independent contractor agreement. The company offers access to a large number of freight loads, experienced dispatchers, competitive per-mile rates, and loads personalized to drivers’ preferences. Rates may be negotiated with dispatchers. Stated Sprinter rates are $0.85–$1.35 per mile for long miles in good areas, $0.85–$1.10 per mile for long miles in bad areas, and $1.25–$1.55 per mile for Canada. Payments are made in 3–5 business days; quick pay is available for a 3% fee. The stated workdays are Monday through Friday. The job posting gives a minimum average monthly salary of $8,000 or more, depending on the vehicle, willingness to work, payload, and qualifications such as Hazmat certification and TSA/TWIC credentials. This is an owner-operator opportunity; the company does not hire company drivers. Applicants must provide their own qualifying vehicle and submit its registration and insurance. Drivers must be approved, accepted, and registered with VICTORIA LOGISTICS CARRIER before accepting a company load.

Requirements

Own a Sprinter or cargo van.
Be a U.S. citizen, resident, green card holder, or holder of work authorization.
The owner-operator and any drivers must be at least 21 years old.
The owner-operator and any drivers must be able to speak, understand, and read basic English.
Have at least 6 months of driving experience.
Sprinter vehicles must be model year 2016 or newer.
Vehicles must have at least 4 straps and PPE.
Remove all decals from the vehicle.
Inform the company before putting the vehicle on the road if making any changes to the vehicle.
Submit vehicle registration and insurance.
Drivers must be approved, accepted, and registered with VICTORIA LOGISTICS CARRIER before accepting a load.
Execute a written independent contractor agreement as an owner-operator.
