About The Position

VICTORIA LOGISTICS CARRIER is hiring Sprinter and Cargo Van owner-operators under a written independent contractor agreement. The company offers a large number of nationwide freight loads, personalized load selections based on operator preferences, and dispatchers with more than four years of experience and broker contacts. Rates are competitive and negotiable with dispatchers. Listed Sprinter rates are $0.85–$1.35 per mile for long miles in good areas, $0.85–$1.10 per mile for long miles in bad areas, and $1.25–$1.55 per mile for Canada. Payment is made within 3–5 business days; quick pay is available for a 3% fee. The stated operating days are Monday through Friday.

Applicants must own a qualifying vehicle and meet the eligibility, age, language, and driving-experience requirements. Drivers must be approved, accepted, and registered with the company before accepting loads. The company does not hire company drivers. The stated minimum average monthly earnings are $8,000 or more, depending on the vehicle, willingness to work, payload, and whether the driver has a Hazmat certificate or TSA/TWIC credentials.

Requirements

• Own a Sprinter or Cargo Van.
• Be a U.S. citizen, resident, green card holder, or work authorization holder.
• The applicant and any drivers must be at least 21 years old.
• The applicant and any drivers must speak, understand, and read basic English.
• Have at least 6 months of driving experience.
• Sprinter vehicles must be model year 2016 or newer.
• All vehicles must have at least 4 straps and PPE.
• All decals must be removed.
• All drivers must be approved, accepted, and registered with VICTORIA LOGISTICS CARRIER before accepting a load.

Nice To Haves

• Russian language skills are also accepted.
• Hazmat certificate or TSA/TWIC credentials may affect earnings.

Responsibilities

• Operate as an owner-operator under a written independent contractor agreement.
• Use an owned Sprinter or Cargo Van to transport freight loads.
• Ensure all drivers are approved, accepted, and registered with VICTORIA LOGISTICS CARRIER before accepting a company load.
• Inform the company before putting the vehicle on the road if changes are made to it.
• Provide the vehicle's registration and insurance.
