About The Position

Service Transport Company, part of the Trimac family of companies, transports bulk liquids and chemicals across North America. The Regional Owner Operator will haul hazardous and non-hazardous general chemicals across the United States, with destinations including Wyoming, Louisiana, Texas, Illinois, Indiana, Tennessee, Missouri, and Pennsylvania. Drivers are typically out one to three days per week. Most deliveries are non-touch. Preloaded loads may be available to independent contractors at an additional cost. Average weekly gross pay is $4,500–$5,500. The position requires a 2010-model or newer truck that passes a Trimac equipment inspection. Tanker experience is preferred but not required. Candidates must meet the specified driving-record standards and hold the required commercial driving credentials and endorsements.

Requirements

Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License.
Current Medical Certificate.
At least 1 year of verifiable tractor-trailer experience.
Tanker Endorsement.
Hazmat Endorsement.
TWIC card.
2010-model or newer truck.
Must pass a Trimac equipment inspection.
For the past 7 years, no driving violation involving illegal or intoxicating substances, preventable rollover, or fatality crash.
For the past 3 years, no license suspension involving drugs or alcohol or record indicating disregard for public safety, no major preventable accident, and fewer than two moving convictions.

Nice To Haves

Tanker experience is a plus but is not required.

Responsibilities

Safely deliver shipments to assigned customers.
Complete required paperwork, obtain required signatures on documents and bills of lading, and submit load documents in a timely manner.
Comply with all applicable state and federal laws.
Follow DOT and FMCSA E-log requirements.
Maintain a professional attitude at all times.
Keep load appointments on time and as scheduled.
