About The Position

Service Transport Company, a member of the Trimac family of companies, transports bulk liquids and chemicals across North America. The regional owner operator hauls hazardous and non-hazardous general chemicals throughout the United States, with destinations including Wyoming, Louisiana, Texas, Illinois, Indiana, Tennessee, Missouri, and Pennsylvania. Most deliveries are non-touch. Preloaded loads may be available to independent contractors at an additional cost. The position offers average weekly gross earnings of $4,500–$5,500, payment as a percentage of linehaul plus fuel surcharge, company fuel cards and discounts, and financial assistance for a pump and compressor if needed. Drivers are typically out 1–3 days per week, with home time described as great.

Requirements

Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License.
Current Medical Certificate.
At least 1 year of verifiable tractor-trailer experience.
Tanker endorsement.
Hazmat endorsement.
TWIC card.
Own a truck model year 2010 or newer.
Pass a Trimac equipment inspection.
In the past 7 years, no driving violation involving consumption of illegal or intoxicating substances, preventable rollover, or fatality crash.
In the past 3 years, no license suspension involving drugs and/or alcohol, record indicating disregard for public safety, major preventable accident, or two or more moving convictions.

Nice To Haves

Tanker experience is a plus, but is not required.

Responsibilities

Safely deliver shipments to assigned customers.
Complete required paperwork, including obtaining signatures on documents and bills of lading.
Maintain compliance with all state and federal laws.
Follow DOT and FMCSA E-log requirements.
Submit all load documents in a timely manner.
Maintain a professional attitude at all times.
Keep load appointments on time and as scheduled.
