About The Position

Trimac is hiring a CDL-A Owner Operator to transport various chemicals and compressed gas. Freight is pre-loaded in Calvert City, Kentucky, and destinations include South Carolina, North Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, Kentucky, Virginia, Tennessee, Ohio, Wisconsin, Indiana, Mississippi, California, and Canada. Drivers travel approximately 2,000–3,000 miles per week and are out for 1–6 days. Work consists of 75% dedicated lanes and 25% reloadable freight with back-hauls. Drivers must maintain membership in a local union. Average weekly gross pay is $4,000–$6,000.

Requirements

Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License.
One year of verifiable tractor-trailer experience.
Tanker and hazmat endorsements.
A 2010 or newer tractor.
Passport required; applicants must be eligible to obtain one, and it may be acquired after hire.
TWIC Card required; applicants must be eligible to obtain one, and it may be acquired after hire.
No driving violation involving consumption of illegal or intoxicating substances in the past seven years.
No preventable rollover or fatality crash in the past seven years.
No license suspensions involving drugs and/or alcohol, or record indicating disregard for public safety, in the past three years.
No major preventable accident in the past three years.
No two or more moving convictions in the past three years.

Responsibilities

Transport various chemicals and compressed gas.
Travel approximately 2,000–3,000 miles per week across the listed U.S. destinations and Canada.
Maintain membership in a local union.
