About The Position
Trimac is hiring a CDL-A Owner Operator to transport chemicals and compressed gas. Drivers pick up pre-loaded freight in Calvert City, Kentucky, and deliver to destinations in the listed states and Canada. The work averages 2,000–3,000 miles per week, with drivers out for 1–6 days. Lanes are 75% dedicated and 25% reloadable with back-hauls. Average weekly gross pay is $4,000–$6,000. Drivers must maintain membership in a local union.
Requirements
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License.
- At least 1 year of verifiable tractor-trailer experience.
- Tanker and hazardous materials endorsements.
- A 2010 or newer tractor.
- Passport required; candidates must be eligible to obtain one, and it may be acquired after hire.
- TWIC Card required; candidates must be eligible to obtain one, and it may be acquired after hire.
- For the past 7 years: no driving violation involving the consumption of illegal or intoxicating substances and no preventable rollover or fatality crash.
- For the past 3 years: no license suspensions involving drugs or alcohol, or record indicating disregard for public safety; no major preventable accident; and fewer than two moving convictions.
- Must maintain membership in a local union.
