About The Position

Service Transport Company, a member of the Trimac family of companies, provides bulk liquid and chemical transportation across North America. The Regional Owner Operator hauls hazardous and non-hazardous general chemicals to destinations across the United States, including Wyoming, Louisiana, Texas, Illinois, Indiana, Tennessee, Missouri, and Pennsylvania. Most deliveries are non-touch. Preloaded loads may be available to independent contractors at an additional cost. The position offers great home time, with drivers out 1–3 days per week. Average weekly gross pay is listed as $4,500–$5,500. Compensation is a percentage of linehaul plus fuel surcharge (FSC).

Requirements

Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License.
Current Medical Certificate.
One year of verifiable tractor-trailer experience.
Tanker endorsement.
Hazmat endorsement.
TWIC card.
Truck must be model year 2010 or newer and pass a Trimac equipment inspection.
For the past 7 years: no driving violation involving consumption of illegal or intoxicating substances and no preventable rollover or fatality crash.
For the past 3 years: no license suspension involving drugs and/or alcohol, or record indicating disregard for public safety; no major preventable accident; and no two or more moving convictions.

Nice To Haves

Tanker experience is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

Safely deliver shipments to assigned customers.
Complete required paperwork, including obtaining required signatures on documents and bills of lading.
Maintain compliance with all state and federal laws.
Follow DOT and FMCSA electronic logging requirements.
Submit all load documents in a timely manner.
Maintain a professional attitude at all times.
Keep load appointments on time and as scheduled.
