About The Position

VICTORIA LOGISTICS CARRIER is seeking Sprinter and cargo van owner-operators to work under a written independent contractor agreement. The company offers a large number of loads, personalized load options based on driver preferences, and dispatchers with more than four years of experience and broker contacts. Rates may be negotiated with dispatchers. Listed Sprinter rates are $0.85–$1.35 per mile for long miles in good areas, $0.85–$1.10 per mile for long miles in bad areas, and $1.25–$1.55 per mile for Canada. Payment is made within 3–5 business days; quick pay is available for a 3% fee. The stated days range is Monday–Friday. The company does not hire company drivers.

Requirements

• Own a Sprinter or cargo van.
• Be a US citizen, resident, green card holder, or holder of work authorization.
• You and your drivers must be at least 21 years old.
• You and your drivers must be able to speak, understand, and read basic English.
• Sprinter vehicles must not be older than model year 2016.
• Vehicles must have at least four straps and PPE.
• Remove all decals from the vehicle.
• Provide vehicle registration and insurance.
• Have at least six months of driving experience.
• Drivers must be approved, accepted, and registered with VICTORIA LOGISTICS CARRIER before accepting a load.
• Execute a written independent contractor agreement as an owner-operator.

Responsibilities

• Provide and operate your own Sprinter or cargo van.
• Discuss load preferences with dispatchers and accept suitable loads offered by the company.
• Ensure all drivers are approved, accepted, and registered with VICTORIA LOGISTICS CARRIER before accepting a company load.
• Provide vehicle registration and insurance documentation.
• Inform the company before putting the vehicle on the road if changes are made to it.
