About The Position

VICTORIA LOGISTICS CARRIER is hiring Sprinter and Cargo Van owner-operators under a written independent contractor agreement. The company offers a large number of loads, personalized load matching based on driver preferences, and dispatchers with at least four years of experience and broker contacts. Rates can be negotiated with dispatchers. Sprinter rates are listed as $0.85–$1.35 per mile for long miles in good areas and $0.85–$1.10 per mile for long miles in bad areas; Canada Sprinter rates are $1.25–$1.55 per mile. Payment is made within 3–5 business days, with a 3% quick-pay option. The stated operating days are Monday through Friday. The company does not hire company drivers; applicants must be owner-operators with their own vehicle.

Requirements

Own a Sprinter or Cargo Van.
Be a U.S. citizen, resident, green card holder, or holder of work authorization.
The owner-operator and any drivers must be at least 21 years old.
The owner-operator and any drivers must be able to speak, understand, and read basic English.
Have at least 6 months of driving experience.
Sprinter vehicles must be model year 2016 or newer.
Vehicles must have at least four straps and personal protective equipment (PPE).
Remove all vehicle decals.
Submit vehicle registration and insurance.
All drivers must be approved, accepted, and registered with VICTORIA LOGISTICS CARRIER before accepting a load.

Nice To Haves

Russian language ability; the company also hires Russian speakers.
A Hazmat certificate or TSA/TWIC credentials may affect the stated monthly earnings.

Responsibilities

Operate as an owner-operator under a written independent contractor agreement.
Use a personally owned Sprinter or Cargo Van to accept and transport loads.
Register with and receive approval from VICTORIA LOGISTICS CARRIER before accepting company loads.
Provide vehicle registration and insurance.
Notify the company before putting a vehicle on the road if changes are made to it.
