About The Position

VICTORIA LOGISTICS CARRIER is seeking Sprinter and cargo van owner-operators to work under a written independent contractor agreement. The company offers a large number of loads, competitive per-mile rates, and personalized load recommendations based on each operator’s preferences. Dispatchers have more than four years of experience, and rates may be negotiated with them. Payment is made within 3–5 business days, with a 3% quick-pay option. The stated days are Monday through Friday. The company does not hire company drivers; applicants are applying to work as owner-operators.

Requirements

• Own a Sprinter or cargo van.
• Be a US citizen, resident, green card holder, or holder of work authorization.
• The owner-operator and drivers must be at least 21 years old.
• The owner-operator and drivers must be able to speak, understand, and read basic English.
• Have at least 6 months of driving experience.
• Sprinters must be model year 2016 or newer.
• Vehicles must have at least four straps and PPE.
• Remove all decals from the vehicle.
• Submit vehicle registration and insurance.

Nice To Haves

• Russian language ability; the company also hires Russian speakers.
• A Hazmat certificate and/or TSA/TWIC credentials may affect earning potential.

Responsibilities

• Operate an owner-provided Sprinter or cargo van to transport assigned loads.
• Discuss load preferences with dispatchers and accept suitable loads.
• Ensure all drivers are approved, accepted, and registered with VICTORIA LOGISTICS CARRIER before accepting a company load.
• Provide vehicle registration and insurance documentation.
• Inform the company of vehicle changes before putting the vehicle on the road.

Benefits

• Competitive per-mile rates: Sprinters on long miles in good areas earn $0.85–$1.35 per mile; long miles in bad areas earn $0.85–$1.10 per mile; Canada Sprinter loads pay $1.25–$1.55 per mile.
