About The Position

VICTORIA LOGISTICS CARRIER is hiring Sprinter and Cargo Van owner-operators under a written independent contractor agreement. The company does not hire company drivers. Owner-operators may negotiate rates with dispatchers and receive load offers tailored to their preferences. The company states that it has a large number of loads and dispatchers with more than four years of experience. Listed Sprinter rates are $0.85–$1.35 per mile for long miles in good areas, $0.85–$1.10 per mile for long miles in bad areas, and $1.25–$1.55 per mile in Canada. Payment is made in 3–5 business days; quick pay is available for a 3% fee. The stated minimum average monthly salary is $8,000 or more, depending on the vehicle, willingness to work, payload, and Hazmat or TSA/TWIC credentials.

Requirements

Own a Sprinter or Cargo Van.
Be a U.S. citizen, resident, green card holder, or work authorization holder.
The owner-operator and drivers must be at least 21 years old.
The owner-operator and drivers must be able to speak, understand, and read basic English; Russian speakers are also hired.
Have at least 6 months of driving experience.
Sprinters must be model year 2016 or newer.
Vehicles must have at least four straps and personal protective equipment (PPE).
Remove all decals from the vehicle.
Provide vehicle registration and insurance.
Execute a written independent contractor agreement as an owner-operator.

Responsibilities

Provide and operate an owner-owned Sprinter or Cargo Van for accepted loads.
Tell dispatchers what types of loads are preferred so they can offer personalized loads.
Ensure drivers are approved, accepted, and registered with VICTORIA LOGISTICS CARRIER before accepting company loads.
Notify the company before putting a vehicle on the road after making changes to it.
Provide vehicle registration and insurance.
