Independent Contractor - Sprinter/Cargo Van Owner Operator
About The Position
VICTORIA LOGISTICS CARRIER is hiring owner-operators of Sprinter vans and cargo vans under a written independent contractor agreement. The company offers loads tailored to drivers’ preferences, access to a large number of loads, and dispatchers with more than four years of experience and broker contacts. Rates are negotiable with dispatchers. Listed Sprinter rates are $0.85–$1.35 per mile for long miles in good areas, $0.85–$1.10 per mile for long miles in bad areas, and $1.25–$1.55 per mile in Canada. Payments are made within 3–5 business days, with a 3% quick-pay option. The stated days range is Monday through Friday. The minimum average monthly earnings are $8,000 or more, depending on the vehicle, willingness to work, payload, and whether the driver has a Hazmat certificate or TSA/TWIC credentials. The company does not hire company drivers.
Requirements
- Own a Sprinter or cargo van.
- Be a US citizen, resident, green card holder, or work authorization holder.
- The owner-operator and any drivers must be at least 21 years old.
- The owner-operator and any drivers must be able to speak, understand, and read basic English.
- Have at least 6 months of driving experience.
- Sprinter vehicles must be model year 2016 or newer.
- Vehicles must have at least 4 straps and PPE.
- Remove all decals from the vehicle.
- Submit vehicle registration and insurance.
- Drivers must be approved, accepted, and registered with VICTORIA LOGISTICS CARRIER before accepting a company load.

Responsibilities
