About The Position

FellowshipLIFE is seeking an experienced Licensed Nursing Home Administrator to oversee the daily operations of our Skilled Nursing Community within Harrogate, one of our beautiful and vibrant Life Plan Communities (Continuing Care Retirement Communities) located on the border of Lakewood and Toms River, New Jersey. This leadership role reports directly to the Executive Director and is responsible for operational, regulatory, and financial oversight to ensure high-quality, person-directed resident care and outcomes. The Licensed Nursing Home Administrator partners closely with clinical and operational leaders to support quality outcomes, staff development, resident satisfaction, and compliance with all federal and state regulations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with relevant long-term care leadership experience required.
  • Current New Jersey Nursing Home Administrator (NHA) license required.
  • Experience with MDS/PDPM for both sub-acute and long-term care residents required.
  • Strong knowledge of long-term care regulations, healthcare operations, and reimbursement practices.
  • Sound knowledge base regarding person-centered dementia care and memory care services.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and healthcare software systems.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration or related field preferred

Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day operations of skilled nursing services.
  • Oversee department leaders including Nursing, Social Services, Rehabilitation, Hospitality, and other healthcare support services regulated under Skilled Nursing Facilities.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local long-term care regulations.
  • Lead and promote quality improvement, infection prevention, resident safety, and QAPI initiatives.
  • Manage budgets, operational performance, and sub-acute and long-term care census goals.
  • Support staff recruitment, training, engagement, and professional development.
  • Foster a culture of effective leadership, teamwork, accountability, compassion, and service excellence aligned with FellowshipLIFE values.
  • Maintain and promote effective communication and positive relationships with residents, families, team members, and community partners regarding plans of care and community updates.
  • Proactively prepare for and manage state and federal surveys and corrective action plans.
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols, infection control standards, and quality assurance measures.
  • Manage operational aspects related to licensure, regulatory audits, and reporting requirements, including PBJ oversight.
  • Foster a positive work environment that promotes teamwork, professional development, and staff retention.
  • Implement policies that support home and community care initiatives while maintaining compliance with applicable laws.
