About The Position
The Nursing Home Administrator directs the overall operation of the facility, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations while maintaining a resident-centered and community-focused environment. The role leads staff development, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency while fostering compassionate care. The Administrator oversees facility operations, staffing, compliance, financial and business functions, community relations, resident programs, and the safety and well-being of residents. The position also requires compliance with the Patient Bill of Rights, Employee Responsibilities, and company safety policies.
Requirements
- Hold a current Administrator license from the applicable state agency.
- Have a deep understanding of nursing home regulations and standards and the ability to manage the state and federal survey process.
- Demonstrate exceptional leadership, communication, and team-building skills.
- Possess strong financial acumen and experience in budgeting, expense control, and revenue enhancement.
- Be skilled in marketing, special care programs, and ancillary service management.
- Have a genuine passion for serving elderly people and individuals with disabilities.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the smooth and efficient operation of the nursing home, aligning policies with corporate standards and regulatory requirements.
- Recruit, orient, train, and retain competent and professional staff while fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Implement and maintain policies and procedures that meet state and federal guidelines, including survey preparedness and audit readiness.
- Oversee admissions, billing, receivables, payables, payroll, and other financial matters to ensure fiscal responsibility.
- Represent the facility in the community and maintain public relations and marketing efforts to promote services and positive engagement.
- Ensure therapeutic, recreational, and rehabilitative programs meet residents’ physical, emotional, and social needs.
- Ensure residents’ nutritional, medical, and overall wellness needs are met in a caring and compliant setting.
- Comply with the Patient Bill of Rights, Employee Responsibilities, and company safety policies.
