About The Position

Care Initiatives is hiring a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator to lead Bedford Specialty Care in Bedford, Iowa. Bedford Specialty Care is a 39-bed skilled nursing facility with six independent living units. The facility received the 2023 AHCA/NCAL Bronze National Quality Award and was named the 2026 Taylor County Award winner in the Nursing Home category. The Administrator oversees facility operations, supports and develops teams, and implements strategies that promote high-quality resident care and operational excellence. This leadership role emphasizes collaboration, compassion, continuous improvement, accountability, and resident-centered service. Care Initiatives is a nonprofit healthcare organization operating more than 40 skilled nursing communities, eight hospice offices, and an internal staffing agency. Requirements

Hold a valid Iowa Nursing Home Administrator license in good standing, or be able to activate NHA licensure in Iowa.
Ability to build relationships and lead a team through change with professionalism and empathy.

Proven leadership experience in skilled nursing is highly desired.
Newly licensed Administrators may be supported in their growth and development.

Responsibilities

Oversee the day-to-day operations of the assigned skilled nursing facility to ensure quality of care and operational excellence.

Develop and execute operational strategies to maintain high-quality resident care and positive outcomes.
