About The Position

The Inventory Specialist will be responsible for managing the inventory of all vehicles at the facility within company timelines. This role involves documenting vehicle condition, including a complete inventory and supporting photographs, using company-provided tools and adhering to company standards. Additionally, the Inventory Specialist will direct traffic flow in the receiving area to ensure timely processing of vehicle inventory and facilitate the Copart experience by offering solutions to meet customer needs, all while understanding Copart policy. The role also includes monitoring, maintaining, and organizing the receiving area, operating cameras, and using handheld inventory devices to process incoming vehicles. Determining the operational capability of motor vehicles, completing vehicle inspection inventories (TLEs) on required vehicles, and maintaining an inventory of all materials used are also key responsibilities. Compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety requirements is essential. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Ability to work outdoors in all seasons
  • General automotive knowledge/mechanical aptitude preferred
  • Basic computer proficiency, with the ability to operate handheld devices preferred
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Driver's license preferred
  • Bilingual skill a plus

Responsibilities

  • Manage the inventory of all vehicles at the facility within company timelines.
