About The Position

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of healthcare scheduling, staffing coordination, or closely related experience.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to handle frequent schedule changes and competing priorities.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Experience with scheduling software or electronic medical records.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Professional, patient-focused customer service skills.
• Ability to work onsite in Beltsville, Maryland, Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM.

Nice To Haves

• Previous home health or home care scheduling experience.
• Experience scheduling RNs, LPNs, PTs, PTAs, OTs, OTAs, SLPs, or home health aides.
• Familiarity with home health visit frequencies and clinician coverage areas.
• WellSky experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and schedule home health visits for nurses, therapists, and other field clinicians.
• Match patients with appropriate clinicians based on location, availability, and care needs.
• Manage new patient assignments and ongoing visit schedules.
• Monitor open visits and work to ensure timely patient coverage.
• Respond to callouts, cancellations, scheduling conflicts, and last-minute changes.
• Communicate schedule updates with clinicians, patients, and caregivers.
• Work with Intake, Clinical Management, and Recruitment to address staffing needs.
• Monitor missed visits and assist with timely resolution.
• Maintain accurate scheduling information in WellSky.
• Track clinician availability and assigned coverage areas.
• Support continuity of care and patient satisfaction.
• Follow up on outstanding scheduling concerns.
• Help improve scheduling workflows and office efficiency.
