About The Position

Community-Minded Enterprises (CME) is seeking a compassionate, community-driven Family Support Coach to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with our Family Support Specialist and ECEAP Manager to recruit, engage, and support Russian and/or Ukrainian-speaking families whose children are enrolled in CME’s ECEAP program. If you are passionate about family advocacy, early childhood education, and strengthening communities, this role is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact.

Requirements

  • GED or high school diploma required
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate clearly in English and Russian and/or Ukrainian.
  • Ability to translate, interpret, and adapt communication to meet family needs.
  • Valid driver’s license and automobile liability insurance.
  • Ability to pass Washington State and Federal background checks and obtain Level 5 security clearance.
  • Basic math skills and strong written communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Strong interpersonal skills—listening, conflict resolution, openness to collaboration, and emotional regulation.

Nice To Haves

  • AA or BA in Early Childhood Education or a related field preferred.
  • Experience in early childhood education or family support preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Build trusting, supportive relationships with families to strengthen engagement and participation.
  • Support families in navigating early learning systems and accessing community resources.
  • Reinforce family goals through ongoing communication and connection.
  • Assist with family support conferences and engagement efforts.
  • Provide interpretation and translation (Russian/Ukrainian to/from English) to ensure equitable access.
  • Support family outreach, recruitment, and ongoing communication.
  • Assist with outreach and recruitment of ECEAP-eligible families.
  • Support maintenance of waitlists and communication with prospective families.
  • Assist with data entry and organization of family information systems (e.g., ELMS).
  • Plan and coordinate family engagement events (family nights, workshops, cultural events).
  • Develop outreach strategies to increase participation.
  • Collaborate with program staff to support Policy Council logistics and participation.
  • Encourage family involvement in leadership opportunities and classroom engagement.
  • Build positive, trusting relationships with children to better understand family context and needs.
  • Engage with children in natural program settings to support communication and connection.
  • Provide language support during classroom interactions.
  • Share relevant observations with staff to strengthen home-school connection.
