About The Position

Clarvida is seeking a Youth and Family Support Specialist in Peoria, Illinois, to support families of children experiencing severe emotional disturbance. The specialist engages families in strengths-based, family-centered treatment planning and provides counseling, mentoring, skills-based support, community-resource linkage, and ongoing assessment of progress and changing needs. The role supports placement stability and family relationships and involves independent client work with regular supportive supervision. Services are delivered across office, home, and community settings. The specialist also participates in a rotating on-call service to support foster parents by phone, virtually, or in person when needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a Human Services–related field.
• Experience working with or knowledge of the needs of high-risk youth.
• Strong planning, organizational, and written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of local educational, vocational, recreational, and counseling resources.
• Understanding of and experience working with diverse faith traditions within the community.
• Valid driver’s license in good standing and active automobile insurance.
• Ability to obtain an Illinois driver’s license within 30 days of hire if relocating from out of state.
• CPR and First Aid certification, or ability to obtain both within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities
