About The Position

As a SharePoint Content Manager, the work you’ll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of our CNIC N6 IT Support team which provides system administration and development/maintenance support of Commander, Navy Installation Command (CNIC). The SharePoint Content Manager will support CNIC’s SharePoint Online (SPO) enterprise by assisting with content cleanup, site migrations, page/site updates, user support, permissions, and day‑to‑day content administration. This role provides subject matter expertise for CNIC SharePoint Online environments, helping stakeholders transition legacy content, build modern SharePoint pages, and ensure consistency and usability across CNIC SPO sites. The Content Manager will work closely with CNIC regions, N‑codes, application teams, and end‑users to support content operations, troubleshoot account or permissions issues, and assist with the adoption of modern SharePoint capabilities.

Requirements

  • Active Top Secret clearance.
  • 8+ years of SharePoint content administration, site management, or related experience
  • SharePoint Online / M365 SPO Site Collection Administration
  • Modern page creation, lists, libraries, web parts, and navigation
  • Content cleanup, content migration, and structural re‑organization
  • Permissions, groups, and role-based access
  • Troubleshooting user issues (accounts, permissions, access)
  • DoD 8570 IAT II compliant - Security+ CE
  • BS Degree or equivalent Computer Science or IT related degree
  • US Citizenship required

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting large‑scale SharePoint Online migrations
  • Experience supporting government or DoD enterprise environments
  • Experience documenting user guides, SOPs, site standards, and governance policies
  • Familiarity with Agile practices
  • Experience with basic SharePoint workflows, Power Automate, or metadata management

Responsibilities

  • Support content cleanup, preparation, and mapping of region data for migration into CNIC SharePoint Online.
  • Assist with migrating region content into new CNIC SPO sites.
  • Validate migrated content and ensure alignment with site structure, navigation, and taxonomy.
  • Create, update, and enhance SharePoint Online pages and sites using modern SPO features.
  • Support N‑codes with site builds, site enhancements, page layouts, and content organization.
  • Provide SME guidance on SharePoint Online best practices, usability, and design.
  • Process SharePoint permission requests and ensure proper access control.
  • Troubleshoot account re‑enablement, access issues, and user support requests.
  • Provide assistance with ad‑hoc EGM (Enterprise Governance Model) requests.
  • Maintain documentation for content procedures, site standards, and user guidance.
  • Perform day‑to‑day SharePoint content administration and maintenance tasks.
  • Collaborate with technical teams when content or configuration changes affect site functionality.
  • Ensure consistency of content presentation, navigation, metadata, and governance across SPO sites.
  • Support overall modernization initiatives by helping transition legacy content to modern SPO designs.
