About The Position

Requirements

• Master's degree in Social Services, Social Work, Clinical Counseling, Psychology, or a clinically related field.
• Fully licensed in Minnesota (LICSW, LPCC, LMFT) or on track for licensure.
• Experience in adolescent, adult, and family-based behavioral counseling and/or residential experience.
• 1+ years of supervisory experience.
• Valid driver's license and ability to meet state and Home Office driving requirements.
• Ability to build strong relationships with diverse individuals or communities and understand their unique needs.
• Successful completion of a three-part Therapeutic Crisis Intervention exam and training.
• Ability to pass a DHS criminal background check.
• Openness to meeting the cultural needs of individuals or communities.

Nice To Haves

• Five (5) years’ experience in adolescent, adult, and family-based behavioral counseling and/or residential experience.
• Two (2) years supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Develops, implements, and maintains operational and clinical policies, procedures, and systems for efficient and effective service delivery.
• Fosters a trauma-informed care environment and establishes a positive clinical culture, implementing necessary changes for success.
• Makes daily operational decisions, problem-solves, and provides hands-on direction to staff, monitoring the clinical environment's functioning.
• Contributes to the organization's vision and strategic initiatives, guiding staff toward agency goals.
• Continuously monitors client treatment, implements improvements, and analyzes potential risks and opportunities.
• Collaborates with service leadership on long-term strategic changes supporting the clinical process.
• Assesses and interprets service and performance data, identifying client and service trends, risks, outcomes, and compliance opportunities.
• Maintains accountability for clinical processes, team performance, and service outcomes; may provide direct therapy.
• Facilitates client and family engagement, collaboration, and addresses concerns.
• Identifies training needs and collaborates with the home office to ensure staff participation in required trainings.
• Regularly assesses and reviews staff performance, client needs, and service requirements.
• Participates in evaluating prospective clients and ensures staff readiness for service area expectations.
• Oversees the development and implementation of service and treatment plans.
• Ensures client assessments are conducted according to established standards.
• Understands and adheres to licensing requirements and guidelines.
• Ensures accurate, timely, confidential, and professional report and record documentation.
• Actively participates in interviewing and hiring, orients, mentors, trains, and develops staff according to guidelines.
• Monitors and facilitates staff skill development in service/treatment plans and client documentation.
• Provides ongoing performance feedback and conducts formal evaluations.
• Models, supports, and mentors staff on the Nexus philosophy and treatment modalities.
• Consults with Human Resources regarding employee corrective action or performance improvement.
• Ensures confidentiality of client information and complies with privacy and boundary policies.
• Demonstrates compassion, honesty, positivity, respect, and professionalism in interactions.
• Adheres to and monitors compliance with safety and health codes and procedures.
• Conducts inspections of service areas, reviews client records, and resolves health and safety concerns.
• Demonstrates acceptance and respectfulness of diversity in clients and coworkers.
• Participates in budget development and accountability.
