Charge Nurse/Clinical Supervisor (RN) Full Time Nights
About The Position
AMG Specialty Hospital - Zachary is hiring a full-time Charge Nurse/Clinical Supervisor (RN) for night shifts. The Charge Nurse supervises patient care activities performed by RNs, LPNs/LVNs, and CNAs, communicates with physicians, the CCO, and staff about changes in patients’ clinical conditions and diagnostic results, and responds promptly and accurately to changes in condition or treatment response. The role fosters a positive hospital milieu, keeps the CCO and CEO informed of situations that may place the facility at risk, and provides direct patient care as required based on staffing and patient acuity. AMG Specialty Hospital - Zachary is a Long-Term Acute Care hospital specializing in complex medical needs. Its multidisciplinary approach includes clinical and therapeutic interventions and family involvement, with a high staff-to-patient ratio intended to support individualized attention and positive patient outcomes.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Current, unencumbered Louisiana Registered Nurse licensure.
- Current BLS certification.
- Current ACLS certification.
- Ability to communicate effectively and positively in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Detailed computer knowledge.
- Excellent interpersonal and human relations skills.
- Two years of LTAC or step-down experience is specified in the role description.
Nice To Haves
- Acute care, med-surg, critical care, or ICU experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Supervise patient care activities performed by RNs, LPNs/LVNs, and CNAs.

- Respond promptly and accurately to changes in patient condition or response to treatment.
- Foster a positive milieu in the hospital.

- Provide direct patient care as required based on staffing and patient acuity.
