About The Position

This hybrid clinical and supervisory role combines direct Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) care with team management and staff development. The position includes 27–33 hours per week of direct clinical RDA work, with remaining weekly hours dedicated to team coaching, teaching, administrative duties, and supervising two dental assistant teams. The role follows an approved Legally Registered Alternative Workweek Schedule totaling 40 hours per week. Shifts may be up to 12 hours within the stated operating windows. The supervisor must be available to work two Sundays per month.

Requirements

• Active California Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) license in good standing.
• Active CPR/BLS certification and California Radiation Safety (X-ray) license.
• Minimum 3 years of clinical RDA experience.
• Excellent communication, team-building, organizational, and conflict-resolution skills.
• Strong knowledge of California dental board compliance, OSHA standards, and infection control.
• Availability to work two Sundays per month.

• Prior experience in leadership, team lead, coaching, or supervisory roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide chairside RDA support and maintain high standards of patient care and efficient, compassionate clinical workflows.
• Oversee and coordinate daily operations across two dental assistant teams.
• Train, onboard, and mentor new and existing dental assistants.
• Oversee clinical supply inventories, equipment maintenance, shift scheduling, OSHA/HIPAA compliance, and sterilization protocols.
• Conduct regular team check-ins to improve chairside efficiency, practice communication, and patient flow.
