About The Position

Requirements

• Minimum of an Associate of Science in Nursing (A.S.N.) from an accredited college or university.
• Current Alabama licensure.
• Three years of acute care experience.
• Excellent interpersonal communication and negotiation skills.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills, including the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and role components.
• Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment in interactions with physicians, patients, families, and payers.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support physicians and the interdisciplinary team in facilitating patient care.
• Integrate and coordinate utilization management, care coordination, and discharge planning.
• Manage a designated patient caseload and plan for patient needs.
• Manage length of stay and promote efficient use of resources.
• Provide payers with timely and accurate information.
• Help enhance clinical outcomes and patient satisfaction while managing care costs.
