About The Position

The RN Case Manager supports physicians and the interdisciplinary team in facilitating patient care, with the goals of enhancing clinical outcomes and patient satisfaction, managing the cost of care, and providing payers with timely and accurate information. The role integrates and coordinates utilization management, care coordination, and discharge planning. The Case Manager is accountable for a designated patient caseload and plans effectively to meet patient needs, manage length of stay, and promote efficient use of resources.

Requirements

• Minimum of an Associate of Science in Nursing (A.S.N.) from an accredited college or university.
• Current Alabama licensure.
• Three years of acute care experience.
• Excellent interpersonal communication and negotiation skills.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills, including the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and role components.
• Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment in interactions with physicians, patients, families, and payers.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
