About The Position

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in transportation, warehousing, and/or distribution environment desired
  • Experience using Microsoft Office programs, specifically Excel
  • Experience using ERP’s, such as Sage, Oracle, SAP, NetSuite, etc.
  • Excellent communications skills (written, verbal & listening) and interpersonal skills needed in order to interface and influence all levels of personnel
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize daily work to meet all internal and external deadlines
  • Ability to push and pull up to 75 pounds and lift up to 50 pounds

Nice To Haves

  • Forklift Driver and Pallet Jack operation experience
  • Prior Forklift Certification with ability to be recertified

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of warehouse activities and proactively ensure employees are productive and efficient.
  • Ensure work equipment/tools are available and returned.
  • Oversee the 6S and safety related functions within the facility.
  • Ensure everyone is following the safety DO's and DON'Ts and stays safe.
  • Motivate the team to do the right thing and report any issues to the supervisor or management team.
  • Lead with a positive and supportive attitude and help to remove bottlenecks.
  • Assist Supervisor with day-to-day tasks.
  • Train employees on processes and procedures.
  • Escalate any policy violations to the management team for further investigation.
  • Work with the team to complete tasks and projects by set deadlines.
  • Promote a safety culture with direction from the management team and escalate any safety concerns to supervisor.
  • Monitor inventory and daily pickup schedule to verify loads are at least 50% full. Cancel and add pickups as needed.
  • Monitor customer communication lines and respond where needed in a timely manner.
  • Responsible for verifying sorting, loading, and put-away accuracy.
