About The Position

Wesco is hiring a Lead Warehouse Associate at its distribution facility. The role assists the Supervisor in directing associates’ work and assigning jobs, and performs warehouse operations including receiving, picking, packing, shipping, and wire cutting. The position works Monday through Friday, from 1:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

Requirements

• High school degree or equivalent.
• Three years of warehouse operations experience.
• One to two years of experience as a Senior Warehouse Associate or similar.
• Forklift experience.
• Basic problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to be on your feet for extended periods.

• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Supervisor in directing the work of associates and making job assignments.
• Perform supervisory responsibilities when assigned.
• Receive, pick, pack, and ship goods, and perform wire cutting.
• Monitor workflow metrics and coordinate reporting to and from management.
• Perform daily safety walks and communicate findings to Supervisors.
• Review complex shipments and staged goods for quality before shipping.
• Update monthly fuel service charges and shipping cost documents.
