Warehouse Team Lead (S-Th 2pm-11pm)

About The Position

The Warehouse Team Lead works under the direction of the Warehouse Manager and oversees unloading incoming product, organizing and restocking warehouse inventory, and training and directing teammates. The role may also fill in for warehouse positions and perform miscellaneous duties. The Team Lead is expected to uphold the company’s Mission, Vision, and Values; take ownership of their work; promote a safe and organized warehouse; and help improve team performance. The position assists with hiring, training, and evaluating employees, and is accountable for meeting operational expectations, including unloading product within one day of arrival and keeping product in designated locations.

High school diploma or equivalent.
Two years of supervisor experience, equivalent education, or completion of the K&M University training program.

Responsibilities

Supervise, direct, and work alongside teammates.
Train, coach, motivate, appreciate, and develop employees and teammates.
Unload incoming product and verify it against the packing slip.
Put product away in its designated location and ensure it is restocked daily.
Track teammate productivity and hold employees accountable for reaching goals.
Manage and resolve workplace conflicts using company values as a guide.
Notify and work with the Warehouse Manager on items that need to be completed or improved.
Work with the Warehouse Manager on staffing needs.
Ensure everyone follows safety rules and company policies and procedures.
Create and post a to-do list for each area so team members know what needs attention and when it is due.
Keep products in their designated areas and update warehouse layouts within 1–2 weeks of receiving product.
Respond to after-hours alarms.
Assist in hiring, training, and evaluating employees.
Help reduce warehouse errors that cause missed shipments, with an expectation of 10 or fewer missed shipments per month due to warehouse errors.
Increase or maximize employee productivity.
Ensure all product is unloaded within one day of arriving on the lot.
Uphold the company’s Mission, Vision, and Values and take ownership of the work.
Fill in for warehouse positions and perform miscellaneous duties as needed.
