VP TFC Brand & Event Experience

About The Position

The Freeman Company is building the infrastructure that will define how TFC shows up in the industry — and this is the role that leads it. The VP, TFC Brand & Event Experience serves as a key strategic thought partner and action driver, owning three interconnected areas of responsibility: the TFC parent brand narrative and equity, a new consumer insights and research capability, and the industry event experience team that brings all of it to life for TFC and select brands within the portfolio. This role is eligible to work a hybrid schedule based out of our Dallas Headquarters.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field
  • 15+ years in brand strategy, integrated marketing, or related disciplines — with meaningful time leading senior-level work
  • Proven experience building thought leadership platforms for brand-building, executive voice and sales enablement
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams through complexity: multiple brands, competing priorities, and work that spans strategy and execution simultaneously
  • Partnership with Consumer Insights teams to drive actionable brand strategy
  • Strong executive presence — you will present to the C-suite, represent TFC at industry events, and earn trust with senior leaders quickly
  • Experience managing teams - including hiring for roles you are building from scratch and developing existing team members with new skills
  • Experience managing budgets and agency or vendor partnerships
  • Ability to lead cross-functionally across brands, sales, and senior leadership teams

Responsibilities

  • Set the strategic direction for TFC as a parent brand — what it stands for, how it earns authority in the industry, and how its story is supported and connects across TFC’s family of eight brands while the brands maintain their independent identities, value propositions and unique expertise.
  • Partner with the SVP and executive leadership on thought leadership content and senior-level brand storytelling, content creation and sales enablement.
  • Build and lead TFC’s Consumer Insights function — hiring a Director, Consumer Insights and establishing the research agenda, including the go to market strategy for TFC’s annual proprietary research report, brand benchmarking, competitive insights and voice of the customer that grounds TFC’s narrative in real market signal.
  • Connect consumer insights to brand strategy, Sales enablement, and executive engagement — ensuring TFC speaks to what senior industry leaders actually believe and prioritize.
  • Lead the talented Event Experience team as a shared service across TFC, Freeman, Studio Blue, and Sparks — owning the over-arching TFC event experience strategy, intake process, and quality of brand presence at strategic industry events.
  • Define how TFC brands show up at industry events — from booth presence and speaking platforms to hosted executive experiences — and ensure each activation is relevant to the brand’s audience, connects to pipeline and brand equity, and serves as a content engine for multi-channel marketing efforts.
  • Develop and retain a high-performing team including dedicated teams leading Event Experience Production, TFC Brand Marketing and Consumer Insights.
