About The Position

Requirements

• High school graduation or equivalent (GED).
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program, with on-the-job experience and training; or graduate of an accredited Registered Medical Assistant program, with on-the-job experience and training and passing the RMA certification exam; or six months of previous Medical Assistant experience within the North Memorial Health system.
• Current BLS certification.
• Registered Medical Assistant certification is required if the candidate attended an RMA program.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks efficiently.
• Knowledge of and skill in using computer software applications.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a clinical setting.
• Passed the X-Ray Operator’s examination, or willingness to take the examination according to clinic needs.

Responsibilities

• Manage patient flow throughout the clinic.
• Assist providers in managing and treating patients.
• Perform collaborative, supportive, and delegated tasks within the Medical Assistant scope of practice.
• Collaborate with the Clinic Supervisor, Clinic Manager, and providers to meet customer, shift, department, and organizational goals.
• Communicate progress, concerns, questions, and problems to the health care team.
• Meet unit-based technical procedure expectations and participate in required competency assessments and validations.
