About The Position

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, system administration or related field and 2+ years of prior relevant experience or a Master’s degree with 0-2 years of experience in above mentioned technical fields. (An additional 4 years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree)
• Must be a US Citizen.
• Must have an active DoD Top Secret clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI.
• Experience with scripting in bash and PowerShell.
• Experience managing systems in both Linux and Windows environments.
• Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally from informal one-on-one discussions or in a small group environment.
• Work well within a team and independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to work within a dynamic work environment, ability to handle multiple tasks at once (multi-task).
• Strong desire to grow and learn new technologies.

Nice To Haves

• Relevant certificates to systems administration work (Ex: CompTIA Security+, Network+, Server+, CCNA, RHCSA).
• Familiar with Agile Methodologies, preferably SCRUM or Kanban.
• Familiar with DHCP, DNS, Certificate Authority, PXE, Active Directory, Linux Identity Management (RHEL idm, FreeIPA), and other tools.
• Experience working with virtualization technologies (Proxmox preferred).
• Experience with security scanning, monitoring, and patching in Windows and Linux environments.
• Experience with live and virtual constructive environments to understand complex systems and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with DoD systems and environments (STIG, FIPS, CUI processing, etc).
• Familiarity with containerization technologies such as docker or podman.
• Experience with Kubernetes.
• Experience standing up and maintaining environments in limited or offline environments.
• Strong understanding of networking and how to build and configure a complex lab network.
• Prior experience working with the DoD NKE.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain SIL systems and infrastructure for complex networks.
• Document and communicate proposed solutions with integrated, cross-functional engineering teams in a fast-paced, highly technical environment.
• Stay up to date on security, system, and management best practices and technologies.
• Participate in network and infrastructure design and review to ensure delivery of quality products and enhance skillsets.
• Maintain security patches, user management, etc., in accordance with Leidos, government, and contract requirements.
