Requirements

• Five or more years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Five or more years demonstrated experience in aircraft maintenance inspections and repairs.
• Strong understanding in 135 and 145 repair station operations/regulations required.
• Clean driving record.
• Able to pass a background check.
• Ability to pass a drug screening test.
• Oral Communication: speaks clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations; Listens and gets clarification; Responds well to questions; Participates in meetings.
• Written Communication: Writes material in clear concise terms.

Responsibilities

• Assure that the procedure outlined in this manual as well as all FAA Regulations and manufacturer’s instructions are complied with.
• Performing routine maintenance, and major inspections on HondaJet, Piper, TBM, Pilatus, LearJets, Beechjet, Citations and other corporate aircraft.
• Troubleshooting, repair, and modification of aircraft systems and engines.
• Component removal and reinstallation, operational checks, leak checks, and engine runs.
• Using sound judgment and technical aptitude to make decisions regarding maintenance, sequence, and techniques, troubleshooting and discrepancy resolution.
• Ensure that all repairs are accomplished by approved methods and techniques and in accordance with the specifications set forth by the manufacturer in the service manuals, the Federal Aviation Regulations, service bulletins, and airworthiness directives and other data approved by the FAA administrator.
• Planning and coordinating the activities of their shop or area, so as to minimize delays and increase production and efficiency.
• Ensure that all work accomplished will be completed in strict accordance with the manufacturer's maintenance and repair instructions and TITLE 14 CFR part 43.
• Exercise all reasonable care to protect all parts- sub assembles; major assembles and completed units against loss or damage.
• Ensure that all applicable repair station forms utilized are properly completed.
• Ensure good housekeeping rules are observed and that all shop-working areas are kept clean and orderly at all times.
• Ensure that proper tools and equipment are available, and those tools are maintained in serviceable condition and ensure that any tool which is found unserviceable for any reason will be removed from service.
• Ensure good housekeeping and ensure that housing and facilities and safety precautions are adequate.
• Ensure proper handling of parts and the preservation of all units or parts during the work process through the maintenance department.
• Be thoroughly familiar with the requirements of the repair station manual, FAA Regulations, Airworthiness Directives and Advisory Circulars, Manufactures Service Letters/Bulletins and engineering orders.
• Communicate with the maintenance lead technicians concerning progress of the assigned work.
• Perform airframe and powerplant repairs, inspections and modifications.
• Removal and disassembly of defective parts, assembly and installation of replacement parts and testing of system.
• Interpret technical manuals, drawings and blueprints.
• Ensure that all discrepancies are signed off with all the information completed, such as part numbers, maintenance manual, ATA and Chapter, etc.
• Display and promote a positive attitude toward work and other employees.
• Use experience and technical expertise to assist when necessary to meet completion and production schedules and produce the quality our company has come to expect.
• Assure that all safety precautions are taken and that available protection devices are properly used at all times when applicable to the tasks performed, in order to reduce the risk of possible injury and health problems resulting from performing assigned tasks.
• Identify any employees' problems and concerns and deal with them, if unable to solve the problems, forward them to management.
• Have all work inspected (except for off-site maintenance) by an appropriately rated inspector as listed on the Roster of Management Supervisory and Inspection Personnel at the completion of each task.
• Participate with management to strategize and implement new maintenance tactics.
• Provide leadership and communication to subordinates and employees.
• Perform related work as assigned.
