About The Position

Requirements

• At least 2 years of supervisory experience in a related environment, such as logistics or supply chain, a dairy plant, food processing, or manufacturing.
• At least 2 years of experience with clerical responsibilities, such as filing or data entry, and computer applications, such as email, spreadsheets, Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, or Visio.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain, manufacturing, food science, or a related area.
• Packaging experience in a related environment, such as dairy production, food processing, or manufacturing.
• Supervisory experience in a dairy plant, food processing, or manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Promote a safe work environment and ensure associates use proper safety equipment.
• Maintain clean, operational work areas and request materials, supplies, parts, and repair services.
• Manage daily production-area operations by planning work schedules and assignments.
• Monitor operational programs, processes, and practices for quality and effectiveness; inspect materials, products, and equipment for defects or malfunctions.
• Assist with production-sequence planning to meet production goals and customer-service needs.
• Ensure timely resolution of associate performance concerns.
• Complete and analyze departmental reports.
• Document and implement improved processes as part of the continuous improvement and Lean culture.
• Participate in new-hire and ongoing associate training.
• Provide process-improvement guidance related to waste control, quality management, and process effectiveness.
• Coordinate and oversee job-related activities and assignments; maintain stakeholder relationships, communicate goals, measure progress, and address improvement opportunities.
• Supervise and develop associates through hiring, training, mentoring, assigning duties, recognizing contributions, and promoting belonging.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures and support the company mission, values, ethics, and integrity standards.
• Model Walmart’s values by building collaborative, high-performing teams, acting with integrity, serving customers and members, and driving continuous improvement.
