About The Position

Requirements

• Possess a valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements; required for driving positions.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Meet the age requirement applicable to the role: the posting states candidates must be at least 21, and also specifies 18+ for unarmed roles and 21+ for armed roles.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, consistent with applicable laws.
• Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet any licensing requirements imposed by state or local laws and regulations before employment, if applicable.

Nice To Haves

• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds.
• CPR/First Aid certification.
• Prior access control or badge experience.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet.
• Customer service experience and strong interpersonal skills.
• Experience with alarm panel systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors while carrying out security procedures and site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, residence areas, parking locations, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity and report concerns.
• Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, follow campus protocols, and notify appropriate personnel.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor directions, building access inquiries, and other campus-related requests.
• Accurately and promptly document incidents, patrol observations, and security-related activities in accordance with site procedures.
