About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer for access control and patrol duties at a college location in Elizabethtown, Pennsylvania. The role serves and safeguards students, faculty, staff, visitors, and the client community. The officer maintains a visible presence, conducts unarmed patrols, supports access control, responds to incidents, and provides customer service. This is a driving position and requires a valid driver’s license. The listed pay rate is $18.46 per hour. The schedule is Friday and Saturday, 3:00 PM–11:00 PM. Candidates must meet the applicable age requirement, possess a high school diploma or equivalent, and undergo a background investigation and drug screen as permitted by law. Licensing requirements may apply under state or local regulations. Requirements

Possess a valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements; required for driving positions.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Meet the age requirement applicable to the role: the posting states candidates must be at least 21, and also specifies 18+ for unarmed roles and 21+ for armed roles.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, consistent with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment to the extent permitted by law.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors while carrying out security procedures and site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities when appropriate.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, residence areas, parking locations, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity and report concerns.
Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, follow campus protocols, and notify appropriate personnel.
Monitor access points and assist with visitor directions, building access inquiries, and other campus-related requests.
Accurately and promptly document incidents, patrol observations, and security-related activities in accordance with site procedures.
