Security Officer - Part Time Patrol Access Control
About The Position
Allied Universal is hiring a part-time, unarmed Security Officer for a healthcare location in Rancho Cordova, California. The officer will patrol assigned healthcare-related office, pharmacy support, and perimeter areas; maintain a visible presence; support access control and badge procedures; and assist visitors, staff, and patients professionally. The role includes reporting concerns, responding to incidents and emergencies, and helping maintain a welcoming environment while protecting confidential business information. The position pays $20.00 per hour. The scheduled shifts are Friday and Saturday, 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM. Officers may use Allied Universal’s Claim a Shift platform to view and claim additional shifts. Applicants are subject to a background investigation and, where permitted by law, a drug screen. Licensing may be required under applicable state or local regulations.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Submit to a background investigation in accordance with applicable law.
- Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with access control and badge systems.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet.
- A state-, county-, or city-issued security-related license.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, employees, visitors, and delivery personnel while following security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
- Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, medical emergencies, and other critical situations; notify appropriate personnel and document events according to site procedures.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of healthcare-related office, pharmacy support, and perimeter areas to identify unusual activity, unsecured access points, and facility concerns.
- Monitor access to the location and verify visitor and contractor authorization.
- Maintain accurate visitor, delivery, and incident records.
- Assist with access control and badge-related procedures.
- Help protect confidential business information in accordance with site requirements.
