About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer to serve and safeguard clients at an aerospace and defense location in Rochester, New York. This is an unarmed patrol and access-control role focused on maintaining a visible security presence, helping deter incidents, and providing customer service. The position is scheduled Friday through Sunday, 4:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., at a rate of $17.75 per hour.

The officer will support a welcoming and secure environment by following security procedures and site-specific policies, carrying out patrols, monitoring restricted-area access, responding to incidents, and maintaining accurate reports and shift communications. The role may include emergency response activities when appropriate.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Undergo a background investigation as a condition of employment.
• Undergo a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

• CPR certification.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet.
• Customer service experience.
• Access-control or badge experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facilities, access points, parking areas, and perimeter areas.
• Identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or policy violations.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and report access-control concerns.
• Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, document observations, and notify site contacts or emergency responders as required.
• Complete detailed activity logs, incident reports, and shift handoff communications.
• Carry out emergency response activities when appropriate.
