About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Unarmed Security Officer in De Soto, Kansas, serving a technology, media, and telecommunications location. The officer monitors and patrols assigned areas, maintains a visible presence to help deter incidents, supports access control, and provides customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors. The role involves professional communication and using computer or tablet tools to document security-related activity. The scheduled shifts are Saturday and Sunday, 10:45 PM to 7:15 AM.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require being at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply under state or local laws and regulations, and may be required before employment.
• A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, contractors, and visitors by following security procedures and site-specific policies and participating in emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor access points, visitor activity, and deliveries; verify credentials and direct guests to appropriate contacts or areas.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; document observations and notify appropriate personnel according to site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of office areas, common spaces, parking areas, and the business perimeter to identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or maintenance concerns.
• Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift communications while maintaining a professional presence that helps deter unauthorized activity.
