About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time unarmed Security Officer to support a residential apartment community in San Diego, California. The role includes driving a patrol vehicle, conducting routine patrols, maintaining a visible presence, responding to security-related concerns, and providing customer service to residents and visitors. The position is scheduled for daytime/evening and overnight shifts: Monday 4:00 PM–12:30 AM, Friday 12:00 AM–8:30 AM, Saturday 12:00 AM–8:30 AM, and Sunday 4:00 PM–12:30 AM. The pay rate is $21.00 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state and local licensing requirements; a license may be required before employment.
Possess a valid driver’s license for this driving position.

Nice To Haves

A state-, county-, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to residents, guests, and visitors while following site-specific procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of community grounds, buildings, parking areas, amenities, and perimeter areas; identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and maintenance concerns.
Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations calmly and professionally, following established reporting and notification procedures.
Monitor access points and visitor activity according to site requirements.
Complete accurate activity reports, incident documentation, and shift communications while supporting Allied Universal security-related standards.
