Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Vehicle Patrol
About The Position
Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Unarmed Security Officer for a vehicle patrol post at a retail and mall location in Sherman Oaks, California. The officer will help safeguard clients and provide welcoming customer service to shoppers, tenants, visitors, and staff. The position requires driving and a valid driver’s license. The schedule is Monday through Wednesday and Saturday through Sunday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. The stated pay rate is $19.00 per hour. The role involves routine and random patrols of the retail property, visible deterrence, monitoring and reporting concerns, responding to incidents, and supporting access control and visitor direction. Employment is subject to a background investigation and, where permitted by law, a drug screen. Licensing requirements may apply under state or local law.
Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
- Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to shoppers, tenants, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail property, including common areas, entrances, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter.
- Monitor for unusual activity, policy violations, hazards, and access concerns, and report observations through established procedures.
- Respond to incidents, requests for assistance, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
- Assist with access control, visitor direction, and coordination with site management and/or emergency responders as needed.
