About The Position

The Security Officer serves and safeguards clients at a financial institution in San Diego, California. The role involves unarmed vehicle and foot patrols, maintaining a visible security presence, helping deter security-related incidents, and supporting a welcoming environment for employees and visitors. The officer provides customer service, communicates professionally, responds to incidents and alarms, monitors access and visitor activity, and documents activity according to company and site requirements. This is a full-time position paying $19.50 per hour. The scheduled shifts are 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM on Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

Requirements

Valid driver’s license, required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements and for driving positions.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Nice To Haves

State-, county-, or city-issued security-related license preferred.
Guard card or license preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and personnel at a financial institution by following security procedures and site-specific policies and carrying out emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations, following established reporting procedures.
Conduct regular and random unarmed vehicle and foot patrols of the facility, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization as directed by site procedures, and report suspicious behavior or conditions to appropriate personnel.
Complete accurate daily activity reports and incident documentation, and communicate shift handoffs in accordance with company and site requirements.
